The New Beta Site
Welcome to the New SDFWA.org. Notice that the web site looks different? As you look around, you’ll see that the pages you were used to are still here. In case you were wondering, here is an update.

Shop Tours During a Pandemic?
How do you squeeze 30 people into a member’s shop while still maintaining “social distancing”? You don’t. Instead, on a Saturday morning you brew a cup of coffee, settle into your most comfortable chair, and Zoom in!

Let’s Build Toys!
In one form or another we’ve been building toys for over 28 years. These toys are made by SDFWA volunteers who give their magic-made-of-wood to causes such as orphanages, children’s hospitals, women’s shelters, and pre-schools. Two years ago they bundled their 15 favorite toys into a How To book entitled “Constructing Wooden Toys” and soon you’ll be seeing it appear on the pages of our website.

Our Rich Archive
Did you know we have almost 20 years of newsletters? Members have spent decades reporting on association activity, writing articles on woodworking and publishing newsletters. It’s a treasure trove that we plan to mine for the new website in coming years.
